• YEAR SEVEN SAMPLE LESSONS

    • The Year 7 Sample Lessons are provided as an example of what you will find in this course, they do not represent the complete curriculum covered. 

      Children using the My Homeschool Year 7 Curriculum are usually around 12 or 13 years old. 

      The Year 7 schedule of work can be taught over 4 or 5 days. This leaves time for you to pursue individual interests and natural learning.  

      Additional instructions for parents, including a Weekly Planner that both parents and students can use, are provided when you purchase the graded course. A comprehensive Resource List is also provided, making it easy for you to prepare for the semester ahead. Many of our resources are in a PDF format that can be downloaded, printed and read offline but also offer Complementary Links that families may wish to use to further enhance the lessons.

      We also include weekly dictation passages, grammar lessons, Shakespeare quote copywork, historical literature, poetry, nature writings, and a novel study in Term 2.

      In our Art Appreciation Course we have a selection of books and resources for you to choose.

      Pick one for your whole family and then work through the art works. Do this during your group study time around three times a week.

      We’ve put together a four year rotation for musical studies. Pick a section for your whole family to work through over a year. Do this at least once a week.

      Play some of the music in the background as study music if desired. We’ve given you a few links for that as well.

      You could also use this as an independent activity for older children if you wish. Have them listen to the radio shows and watch the video clips.
