Poetry Anthology

We recommend using a good poetry anthology.  We suggest age appropriate ones within your course.

You may also wish to study the poems of one poet. It's up to you. 

No page numbers will be given, you can just work though the poems as desired. Reading one or two poems a week is suggested, of course this will vary according to the length of a poem.

In the primary years poetry appreciation can be done during family time or group work. In high school this can be done as an independent activity.

Children may also like to start their own poetry notebook where they write out favourite poems.
